Current Exhibitions The Regional Culture Centre, Letterkenny is exhibiting 'James Fitzgerald: The Aranmore Drawings 1965 – 1971' from September 16th to November 8th, 2008. Ian Gordon is exhibiting a collection of new works entitled 'Big Sky' at the Workhouse, Dunfanaghy. See Ian's work at AshLemon. A spectacular photographic exhibition featuring images of the universe as taken by the Hubble Space Telescope is on exhibit at the Man-made Images Gallery in Mountcharles. The Cavanacor Gallery, Ballindrait, Lifford is exhibiting works by artist who participated in the Leipzig International Arts Programme. Eamon McAteer is exhibiting a new collection of paintings at An Grianán Theatre. McAteer is a founder member of the North West Artists Association and is the recipient of the Derek Hill Award. The exhibition will continue until October 18th, 2008. Dunlewy based artist Sarah Lewtas studied painting at St Martins during the nineteen seventies but today she works across genres, often with natural, found materials and has exhibited widely in recent years. Earagail by Johnny Gallagher Gweebarra based photographer Johnny Gallagher has launched a new website for his landscape photographs of Donegal. See jjimages.net. Franck Saucian is a French artist living and working in Donegal. Killybegs Artist Kevin Sharkey is currently exhibiting at the at the Sharkey Gallery, 15, Clifford Street, Mayfair, London W1. Sharkey's work can also be seen online at Kevin Sharkey.com. Tory painters Patsy Dan and Rory Rodgers are currently holding an exhibition in the Bistro at Arnolds Hotel, Dunfanaghy. The Glebe House And Gallery, Churchill is open 11.00am to 18.30pm Saturday to Thursday and Closed Fridays. Last Admission 5.30pm. The Glebe House and Gallery is a Regency house set in woodland gardens beside Lake Gartan. The Glebe is decorated with William Morris Wallpaper and textiles and has Islamic and Japanese art. The Derek Hill permanent collection includes 300 works by leading 20th century artists, including Picasso and Kokosha, as well as Irish and Italian artists. Exhibitions are shown in the adjoining gallery. Access to the house is by guided tour only. There is access to the ground floor of the Gallery for people with disabilities. There are tearooms on this level. Guide dogs permitted. Parking 200 meters from Gallery. Videos in English relating to the house are shown in the coffee shop. The Ferguson Gallery, Ramelton exhibits works by Markey Robinson, Louis Le Broquy, Séan McSweeney and Tony O'Malley, among others. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday. The Ardara Heritage Centre contains an Art Gallery and Craft exhibition space and is open Monday to Friday. Glencolmcille based artist Kenneth King is exhibiting online at The King Studio. Sharon McDaid, Textile Artist and Designer, exhibits her work at Donagh Design on the Malin Road, Carndonagh is open all year round. Donegal County Council’s Public Art Programme has been active since 1990 and to date over forty commissions have been awarded and delivered in the capital construction of Roads, Housing, Water, Environment & Emergency Services, Libraries and Fire stations. See Donegal's Public Art. Moville Pottery produces hand thrown stoneware exclusively designed and manufactured in Moville. Each piece is individually finished and decorated, using traditional hand sponging techniques. Moville Pottery is open 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Raphoe Painter Ann Quinn has a new website see Ann Quinn.ie. Stone Sculptor Redmond Herrity is exhibiting at the Letterkenny Sculpture Centre.
