The Bat survey of the Bluestacks (commenced 2007) is a three year survey to
ascertain species distribution and conservation status and to determine the bat species that
can be found in the Bluestack Mountains of South West Donegal. In conjunction with species identification, the distribution and conservation status of bats will also be determined. The group host a series of 'Bat Walks' and information evenings where the use of ultrasound bat detectors in survey work is demonstrated. These events are advertised locally. All members of the public are welcome and any interested persons or groups are invited to take part in the survey. If you want to get involved or want further information on any of our activities, email: Bluestack Environmental Group. The group are also undertaking many bird, butterfly and moth surveys and environmental monitoring. All good fun and all voluntary. See also Bat Conservation Ireland. If you have a Donegal based environment group you would like to see on this Site email info@Dún-na-nGall.com with the details. © |
